Site Engineer- North East:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor, playing a crucial role in the delivery of key projects within the AMP8 water framework. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to vital infrastructure upgrades and environmental improvements.
The Role:
As a Freelance Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day setting out and surveying on site, ensuring that all works are constructed in accordance with the design and specifications. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Accurate setting out and surveying of works.
- Interpreting and implementing engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Quality control and assurance of all on-site activities.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including diaries and as-built surveys.
- Liaising with the site management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting with the resolution of technical queries and issues.
- Ensuring works are delivered to programme and budget.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card: You must hold a current and relevant CSCS card.
- Prior Water Industry Experience: Demonstrable experience working on projects within the UK water sector (e.g., wastewater treatment, clean water infrastructure, pipelines, pumping stations).
- Tier 1 Contractor Experience: Previous experience working directly for or with a Tier 1 contractor on civil engineering projects is preferred.
