Our client, a leading global brand in the battery manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated FLT (Forklift Truck) Driver to join their dynamic team at their Washington, UK site.

Job Overview:

As an FLT Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within the facility. We are seeking a candidate with externally obtained and accredited licenses, as we require compliance with the highest safety and operational standards.

Hours of work would be Monday-Friday day shift and backshift on a weekly rotating basis hours will be 07:00-15:18 days and 16:35-00:53 backs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate FLT vehicles to transport materials, goods, and pallets around the site.
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are stored in the correct locations.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the forklifts to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and documentation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support the wider team in achieving production and operational targets.

Requirements:

  • Valid and externally accredited FLT license.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required.
