Salary: 14.36 - 16.04 dependant on pay type (PAYE or Umbrella)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Prospero Teaching is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a welcoming education setting in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for staff and pupils.
Role Overview
As the caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the premises. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the security and safety of the site.
- Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Managing cleaning schedules and ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Monitoring heating, lighting, and other facilities.
- Supporting with deliveries and site access for contractors.
- Responding promptly to any site-related issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role (education setting preferred).
- Practical skills for basic repairs and maintenance.
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
