We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and engaging Tutor to support a young person entering Year 9, who is currently on a partial school timetable and at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX). This role is more than academic-it's about mentorship, encouragement, and confidence-building.

About the Student
  • Recently relocated to the area
  • Diagnosed with ADHD and PDA
  • Working at a Year 6 level academically
  • Has a strong love of animals and enjoys being outdoors
  • Responds well to practical, fun, and hands-on learning activities

As a Tutor you will:

    • Build a trusting relationship through mentorship and positive reinforcement
    • Deliver engaging Maths and English sessions tailored to the student's level
    • Use creative, outdoor, and animal-themed activities to spark interest and motivation
    • Support emotional regulation and confidence in learning
    • Collaborate with family and school to ensure consistent progress

About you:

  • Experienced in working with learners with EHCPs
  • Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Able to design and deliver practical, fun learning experiences
  • Comfortable working in informal settings, including outdoor environments
  • Passionate about making a difference in a young person's life
