Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

SRM Recruitment are working with a  well-established company in the retail sector, based in Watford. Who are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming payments and ensure they are processed efficiently.
  • Prepare and send invoices to our clients.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
  • Assist in managing the company's expenses.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all bank transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
