An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well established retailer based in Watford. The successful individual will support the finance team with transactional finance mainly within credit control.
Key responsibilities of the Credit Control job will include:

- Managing debtors book and customer payments
- Daily chasing of debtors, via telephone and email, ensuring invoices are paid within the agreed payment terms
- Liaising with customers to resolve invoice and payment queries
- Releasing and emailing customer invoices
- Emailing monthly statements
- PayPal reconciliation
- Petty cash reconciliation
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit checking new account applications and making initial credit limit decisions
- Monitoring credit limits of existing customer accounts and adjusting as necessary
- Making credit decisions about when accounts should go on stop / hold for late payment Liaising with credit insurers and make sure we abide by their rules of engagement.
- Liaising with our debt collection agency deciding the best course of action to be taken against delinquent debt
The ideal Credit Controller will possess the following attributes/skills:
- 3+ years previous Credit Control experience
- Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Fast learner
