The OpportunityA well-established secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a skilled and motivated Design and Technology Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for someone with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality DT education across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across a range of DT disciplines in well-equipped specialist rooms and will be supported by an experienced and collaborative department.
Key Responsibilities-
Plan and deliver engaging and practical DT lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teach a variety of DT areas, which may include Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Engineering

Monitor and assess student progress through accurate marking and feedback

Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour

Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the department

Support and guide pupils to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject

Good classroom management and the ability to motivate learners of all abilities

Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and department projects
