A secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated and reflective Religious Education Teacher to join its humanities department. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the option of KS5 depending on experience.

Develop a curriculum that explores world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical inquiry.

Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes discussion, respect, and engagement.

Use assessment effectively to support student progress and inform teaching.

Work collaboratively within the humanities team and take part in whole-school activities and initiatives.

Encourage student participation in wider opportunities such as debate clubs, enrichment sessions, or interfaith projects.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level; KS5 experience is desirable.

Confident subject knowledge and an understanding of relevant curriculum developments.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A commitment to inclusive education and the development of the whole student.
