The rota will include one week of early shifts from 8am to 4pm, followed by a week of late shifts from 12pm to 8pm.

Salary: PAYE: £17.14 including holiday pay, Umbrella: £19.71, Permanent: £29,848

Job description

We are specifically looking for support workers who can engage with young people and assist them in developing their independent living skills.

The role will involve supporting young people from the ages of 16 to 18. You will be helping them with creating budget plans, offering advice on benefits, and helping support them to become independent.

Essential requirements

  • An understanding of the problems facing homeless people, homelessness issues and experience of working with a vulnerable client group.
  • Knowledge of benefits provision, money / income management.
  • Knowledge of the range of services and support available through other agencies (statutory, voluntary).
  • Knowledge of person-centred planning and the delivery of life-skills development within a relevant field
  • Good communication and IT skills.
