This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is eager to support children with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours. You will be joining a supportive team committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Watford
Pay: 95-110 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term, term-time only
What the role involves:
- Working 1:1 or with small groups to support personalised learning
- Assisting with tailored interventions that promote emotional, social, and academic development
- Supporting pupils with sensory, behavioural, or communication needs
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desired but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a specialist setting
Academics is acting as an agency on behalf of the school and will provide full support throughout the application and placement process.
