We are recruiting a Quality Manager for a successful and growing engineering firm based in Wednesbury specialising in supplying high-quality parts to a wide range of industries. With strong customer relationships and a commitment to continuous improvement, we're proud of our reputation for reliability and innovation.

As Quality Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and developing our quality systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000:2015, and minimising customer concerns. You'll work closely with staff at all levels, providing training and guidance while dealing with day-to-day quality challenges.

The main duties of the role will be:
  • Ensure all staff follow quality procedures and standards.
  • Maintain our ISO 9000:2015 system and prepare for audits.
  • Lead staff training on quality processes and track progress.
  • Manage customer concerns with timely 8D responses and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain PPAPs (including FMEA, Gauge R&R).
  • Produce monthly quality reports covering complaints, downtime, and cost of quality.
  • Escalate customer complaints promptly to directors.
  • Support inspection and approval of processed parts.
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a quality management role within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9000:2015 standards and audit preparation.
  • Hands-on experience with PPAP, FMEA, and Gauge R&R.
  • Confident with 8D problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to develop and train staff.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive in preventing issues.
