Maintenance EngineerWellingboroughSalary -circa £35k plus benefitsAre you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a fresh challenge in a well-established and forward-thinking company? Our client based in Wellingborough is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of plant equipment, supporting continuous improvement and promoting the highest safety standards across the site.Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Perform building maintenance repairs when required.
  • Develop and follow a routine maintenance schedule in coordination with the Plant Manager.
  • Conduct fault finding and repair on a wide range of systems, including electrical control panels and hydraulic systems.
  • Lead or support improvement projects to enhance plant safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to and enforce electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations in all maintenance operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised maintenance area.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • 18th Edition qualified (essential).
  • Ability to safely operate scissor and boom lifts.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
  • Experience with overhead gantry cranes and welding operations is desirable but not essential.
