Set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, our dedicated and friendly staff will look after your every need and they will make sure your stay with us will be a memorable one. Comprising a 490-acre farm, a 29-bedroom country house hotel, the 2 Rosette restaurant and 9 function/conference rooms, this hotel also provides a unique and attractive year round location for the perfect wedding.

Main duties and responsibilities:

路Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks

路Cooking and preparing high-quality dishes

路Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items and recipes and developing dishes

路Supervising all kitchen stations

路Supervising, motivating and working closely with other Chefs of all levels

路Being responsible for health and safety

路Being responsible for food hygiene practices

路Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created

路Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering

路Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines

Essential criteria: You will have experience of:

路Working in a hotel to a very high standard using only fresh ingredients.

路Ability to work a variety of shifts on a rota

路Have a passion for and genuine interest in food

路Have a mature and pleasant manner

路Be a team player

路Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
