We are seeking an outstanding and inspiring Head of English to lead a successful and collaborative department in our welcoming secondary school in Hertfordshire, starting September 2025.

We are looking for a Head of English who:
• Has a strong track record of excellent teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, ideally KS5
• Demonstrates the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of teachers
• Has a clear vision for high-quality English provision and student achievement
• Can drive standards through curriculum planning, assessment, and quality assurance
• Is passionate about developing students’ love for literature, language and expression
• Sets high expectations for themselves, their team, and their students
