Phonics Lead Teaching Assistant

SANZA are working with one of the highest-achieving primary schools in North West London to recruit a dedicated and skilled Phonics Lead Teaching Assistant.

This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in improving early reading outcomes and developing a love of language in a school known for exceptional progress, creativity, and innovation.

The role:

  • Lead daily phonics interventions across EYFS and Key Stage 1
  • Support class teachers in delivering phonics sessions using the school's validated scheme
  • Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Model outstanding phonics teaching and share best practice with colleagues
  • Support guided reading sessions, individual readers, and small group work
  • Be an integral part of the school's early literacy strategy
