Phonics Lead Teaching Assistant
SANZA are working with one of the highest-achieving primary schools in North West London to recruit a dedicated and skilled Phonics Lead Teaching Assistant.
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in improving early reading outcomes and developing a love of language in a school known for exceptional progress, creativity, and innovation.
The role:
- Lead daily phonics interventions across EYFS and Key Stage 1
- Support class teachers in delivering phonics sessions using the school's validated scheme
- Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Model outstanding phonics teaching and share best practice with colleagues
- Support guided reading sessions, individual readers, and small group work
- Be an integral part of the school's early literacy strategy

Candidate requirements:
- Experience delivering phonics in a school setting
- Familiarity with a phonics scheme (e.g. Little Wandle, Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passionate about early reading and pupil progress
