Weighbridge Operator Job Overview
  • Weigh all vehicles entering and exiting the site, ensuring appropriate waste transfer notes are issued and received.
  • Order transport for the removal of materials from the site.
  • Manage and control traffic flow in the weighbridge area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Handle phone calls from operations staff (OOS) and customers professionally and promptly.
  • Accurately update spreadsheets, ensuring correct recording of tonnages and other data.
  • Ensure all site visitors sign in and are wearing the appropriate PPE before entering.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including answering emails and handling queries.
  • Understand and comply with the site permit to verify that incoming waste types are acceptable.
  • Maintain the weighbridge unit by performing weekly cleaning around the load cells.
  • Report any defects or malfunctions of the weighbridge to the site manager immediately.
  • Be flexible with working hours and available to cover various shifts or days when needed.
  • Demonstrate strong IT skills and be confident using digital systems and spreadsheets.
  • Possess excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Weighbridge Operator Job Requirements

  • Commutable distance to Willesden.

Weighbridge Operator Salary & Benefits
  • 55 hour working week (Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. Saturday 7am-1pm)
