MMP Consultancy is currently seeking a Property Surveyor for a Permanent Contract paying 50,369 per annum, based in North London.

Title: Property Surveyor
Rate: 50,369 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - Hybrid,
Location: North London

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the investigation and resolution of non-routine repairs, disrepair claims, damp and mould issues, and ad hoc planned replacements
  • Diagnose and categorize Category 1 & 2 hazards using your knowledge of damp and mould, HHSRS, and building pathology
  • Provide technical guidance and post-inspection support to colleagues to ensure quality and consistency across all property works
  • Support the delivery of ad hoc planned works and contribute to continual service improvement through innovation and professional insight
  • Review and advise on home improvement requests with a focus on safeguarding our housing stock


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in managing and resolving complex property repairs and maintenance issues
  • Strong grasp of damp and mould diagnostics and the ability to apply the HHSRS framework effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for translating technical issues into clear, resident-friendly solutions
  • Experience working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use required


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates
  • Experience with building pathology and construction diagnostics
  • Familiarity with housing regulations and standards


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Relevant degree in a surveying or related field (e.g., Building Surveying, Construction Management)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in property surveying, with experience of managing complex repairs and maintenance issues


Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in with multiple priorities
  • Basic check with the Disclosure and Barring Service required
