You know that feeling when something breaks down at 3am, and everyone looks at you like you’ve got the answer? Yeah, this job is about leading the team that sorts that out.

As an Engineering Shift Supervisor you'll run a team of 4 engineers on shift. It’s not just about fixing machines when they stop working (although that’ll happen plenty). It’s about making sure your team knows what they’re doing, are in the right place at the right time, and are actually learning something along the way.

This is a proper hands-on role. You’ll still be fault finding, dealing with breakdowns, and making sure planned maintenance gets done — but you’ll also be the one your team looks to when the pressure’s on. If you can keep a cool head and get the best out of people when the clock’s ticking, that’s what we’re after.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Running the shift, leading 4 engineers.

  • Making sure the kit gets fixed quickly and properly when it breaks.

  • Planning and delivering preventative maintenance, not just firefighting.

  • Keeping an eye on performance targets (OEE, downtime – all the usual suspects).

  • Making sure safety isn’t just a box ticked, but something everyone actually sticks to.

  • Coaching your team so they’re better engineers by the time they finish the shift than when they started.

  What we need from you:
  • You’ve already led people – Supervisor, Lead Engineer, Team Leader, whatever the title was.

  • You started out on the tools yourself, ideally as an apprentice. Electrical bias would be good, but multi-skilled works too.

  • You’re comfortable fixing electrical, automation and mechanical problems.

  • You’re the sort of person who spots how things could be done better, then actually does something about it.

  • FMCG Manufacturing background
  • And you’re fine with the 4 on 4 off – 2 days, 2 nights. If shift work isn’t for you, this isn’t for you.

  What you’ll get:
  • A competitive salary.

  • A team that’ll listen to you (mostly).

  • The satisfaction of keeping a busy site running when it matters most.

  • Excellent benefit package
