We are seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a finance team. This role involves working closely with Management Accountants to manage and maintain the purchase ledger function, ensuring all payments are accurate and legitimate. The ideal candidate will be proactive, suggesting improvements and working collaboratively across departments to enhance efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage and maintain the purchase ledger function across the Group, ensuring accuracy in payments and dealing with legitimate suppliers.
- Process overhead and agency invoices timely and accurately.
- Handle monthly and weekly purchase ledger payments.
- Act as a key finance team member, collaborating with various departments.
- Oversee the monthly credit card function and process all employee expense claims.
- Provide cover for the Subcontractor Ledger as needed.
- Suggest potential improvements within the purchase ledger function to maximise efficiency.
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet business demands.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach to query resolution.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a conscientious approach to the purchase ledger function.
- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising confidently with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience in managing the purchase ledger function, preferably in the housebuilding industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics/Continia is beneficial.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel.
