We are currently recruiting on behalf of North Somerset for an Independent Safeguarding Reviewing Officer (ISRO) to join their Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Team. This is a pivotal role for a highly experienced and confident Social Work professional looking to influence and improve the quality of practice and outcomes for children in care and those subject to Child Protection.
Youll chair Statutory Reviews, Child Protection Conferences, and support the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) function. This is a great opportunity to work within a committed and forward-thinking team that plays a key role in driving performance, scrutiny, and practice development across Childrens Services.
Key Requirements:Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
Minimum 5 years post-qualifying experience in statutory childcare services
Significant experience in Child Protection and Children in Care, with a solid understanding of Care Planning Regulations and the IRO Handbook
Strong chairing and leadership skills to manage complex meetings and support effective planning
Experience in quality assurance, risk assessment, and professional challenge
Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends as required
£43.28 per hour (LTD)
