Teqniq is searching for a Highways Work Supervisor to work in the public sector.

40 hours per week.

3 months contract.

07:30-16:00

Job Description:

As a Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Seamer Carr or Whitby depots, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of highways and construction projects. You’ll be involved with both reactive and planned maintenance schemes as well the capital works programme within our workplace.

You will:

  • Lead and support a team of operatives, subcontractors and depot staff
  • Plan and coordinate materials, plant and labour
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and performance
  • Mentor and develop your team to help them succeed.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in highways or construction at Ganger level or above
  • Knowledge of Traffic Management (TM1, TM2, T7)
  • Understanding of health & safety legislation and quality assurance
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. Winter 6159 Supervisor Unit 621).
