We are working with a welcoming and well-organised primary school in Wigan that is seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join their team. This is a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school office, providing excellent administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, approachable, and able to manage a wide range of administrative responsibilities in a busy school environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff.

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries efficiently and professionally.

  • Maintain accurate pupil records, registers, and databases.

  • Support with admissions, attendance, and safeguarding processes.

  • Handle general office duties including filing, photocopying, and correspondence.

  • Assist with financial administration such as processing invoices and orders.

  • Provide administrative support to the headteacher, senior leaders, and teaching staff.



Requirements

  • Previous experience in a school office or administrative setting.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school systems (SIMS/Arbor experience desirable).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
