gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Wigan

Performance Objectives

  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery and site utilities.
  • Carry out mechanical and (if competent) electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Support equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Drive uptime and reliability by quickly resolving breakdowns.
  • Uphold Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for effective communication and minimal disruption.
  • Identify and implement engineering improvements.

Person Specification

  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • A problem-solving, hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset.
