Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEN Support

We are seeking a committed and compassionate KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school located in central Wigan
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact in a child's educational journey, working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support a pupil's academic, emotional and social development.
Your Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a KS2 pupil with SEN
Help implement learning and behaviour support strategies
Adapt learning materials to meet the child's individual needs
Support the pupil's inclusion within classroom and school life
Maintain records and contribute to reviews and assessments
Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher and external professionals
About You:
Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, learning or communication difficulties)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Patient, nurturing, and consistent in approach
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed
