Milk Education is on the lookout for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants in a fantastic secondary school in Wigan. 

This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone who wants to gain hands-on classroom experience, support young people during a crucial stage of their education, and explore a potential long-term career in teaching or education support.

Your role will include: 

  • Supporting teachers during lessons across various subjects
  • Working with students aged 11–16 (or up to 18) to help them stay engaged and on task

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support, particularly to students who need extra help

  • Assisting with behaviour management and helping maintain a positive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, under teacher guidance

What we’re looking for: 

  • A positive, patient and approachable personality

  • A genuine interest in working with teenagers and making a difference

  • Confidence in building rapport with young people

  • Previous experience working with children/young people is desirable (e.g. coaching, youth work, mentoring)

  • A willingness to learn, take initiative and be a reliable team player
