Team Lead - Systems Test - Aerospace Systems

My client is seeking an experienced Systems Test & Verification Supervisor to lead advanced testing and verification efforts for next-generation aerospace systems. This is a senior-level role ideal for a test engineering specialist ready to influence capability development, guide a high-performing team, and shape departmental tools, processes, and infrastructure.

You?ll define and deliver verification and validation (V&V) strategies across the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA). Working within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), you will provide both technical leadership and hands-on expertise in environmental and functional testing of mechanical and electromechanical aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead definition of system and equipment-level test strategies, including integration

  • Conduct V&V activities: requirements validation, test planning, execution, analysis, and compliance reporting

  • Develop custom test equipment and fixtures for mechanical/electromechanical systems

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical mentorship to engineers

  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies

  • Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and team capability

Requirements:

  • Degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong background in systems test engineering within aerospace or defence

  • Experience in full lifecycle verification, compliance strategies, and failure investigations

  • Proven leadership of small engineering teams and technical mentoring
