Boarding House Matron

Location: Wimborne, Dorset

Salary: £10,081 per annum

Hours: An average of 17½ hours per week (Wednesday from 7:30 - 19:30 and Saturdays from 13:00 - 19:30, during term time only.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Boarding House Matron to work in School House to support the Housemaster and his team in looking after the welfare of the boarders and the smooth running of the house.

School House accommodates approximately 60 boy boarders, ranging from the age of 13 - 18.

Skills and Qualifications

An approachable, caring and friendly personality is essential together with excellent administrative and organisational skills.

The Boarding House Matron should have the ability to communicate with a range of people and possess good ICT skills.

Prior experience of working in a similar environment, with young adults, would be advantageous.

Flexibility is essential, as Boarding House Matrons are required to help on Open Days and other House events.
