The Job:We’re looking for a Trade Counter Supervisor to join our team — someone who thrives on building relationships with trade customers, offering expert advice, and helping them get the right products for the job.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting trade customers with product advice, quotations, and order processing
- Building long-term relationships with new and existing trade accounts
- Up selling and cross-selling to maximise customer satisfaction and enhance sales
- Advising customers by recommending the best solutions for their needs and delivering excellent service. Continuously gaining and maintaining strong product knowledge to support informed recommendations.
- Using systems to process orders and maintain accurate customer records
- Working closely with the wider team to meet sales targets and deliver excellent service.
The Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

About You:
- A results-driven professional with strong telesales skills/experience and excellent administrative skills, capable of managing client communication while efficiently handling back-office tasks, website accuracy and CRM systems
- An ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from front line staff to senior management.
- A self-motivated individual with strong leadership abilities, adept at managing team members and delegating tasks effectively to achieve daily tasks/goals
- An individual who can capture and retain customer insights, and effectively communicate relevant feedback to the team
- A strong understanding of product knowledge, particularly in the leisure industry, and thereby the confidence to explain product features, match solutions to customer needs
- An ability to retain information and take a methodical approach to our work processes while also identifying improvements and advising management as necessary.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or trade environment (builders’ merchants, hardware, plumbing, electrical, etc is desired but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, helpful attitude
- IT-literate and comfortable using SAGE/CRM systems
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a sense of humour
