Our client, a prominent designer and manufacturer, is seeking a highly organised and motivated Purchasing & Stock Assistant to join their team in Winchester.

This is a six-month fixed term contract, offering the chance to gain valuable experience within a dynamic and creative environment.

As a Purchasing & Stock Assistant, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the full cycle of purchase orders for stock and bespoke products. You will liaise with suppliers in the UK and abroad and assist in the delivery and quality control of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with international sales teams to coordinate purchase orders
  • Liaise with UK and international suppliers to manage the full cycle of purchase orders for stock and bespoke products
  • Handle day-to-day sales order reports, picking products in the warehouse and arranging dispatch
  • Assist in the delivery of products and quality control
  • Book stock into the system and manage stock movements
  • Process invoices and returns
  • Handle and manage raw materials & samples
  • Participate in the yearly stock take
  • Maintain accurate information on pricing, stock levels and scheduling in the system
  • Assist the sales team with design ideas for bespoke items and prepare quotations

  • Previous experience working in an office or warehouse environment
  • Highly organised and motivated
  • Able to work in a constantly changing and responsive environment
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Excel & Word
  • Flexible and hands-on approach
  • Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining the accuracy of information in the system
  • Strong communication skills
