We are seeking a dedicated Construction Lecturer to join our team at a leading educational institution. The successful candidate will deliver inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning across a range of construction programmes. This role is crucial in ensuring that all learners succeed in their chosen programmes and contribute to the achievement of the college's strategic goals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Sequence of Learning and assessment plans for various programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Embed Equality and Diversity in every lesson and programme, ensuring employability and employer engagement activities are integral parts of the curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons using a variety of methods and e-systems, including VLE and appropriate social media.
  • Guide and tutor learners through their learning process, setting targets, conducting reviews, and ensuring positive progression outcomes.
  • Utilise data and management information systems to ensure learner success and compliance with all quality mechanisms and key performance indicators.
  • Participate actively in curriculum and staff development activities, performance management processes, and college marketing and recruitment events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent vocationally relevant qualification.
  • Teaching qualifications such as DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in FE up to and including Level 2 within a construction field.
  • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
