Description

Accounts Payable Duties:

  • Processing invoices, ensuring that they are accurately recorded and paid in a timely manner.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and managing queries related to payments.
  • Maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the preparation of month-end reports and annual audits.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes within the company.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Participating in ad hoc projects related to the finance function as required.
  • Dealing with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • A strong educational background in finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role within the insurance industry.
  • A robust understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and accounting software.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
