Job Description:

Our client a large reputable social housing contractor providing maintenance and repair services to thousands of properties across the East is looking for a full time, residential planner/scheduler to join their team.

We are looking for applicants that can provide fantastic customer service, liaise between multi-trade workers and the tenants on commencing maintenance works. The candidate must be well organised, have a professional manner, be capable in taking high volumes of calls, be computer literate in Microsoft outlook, word and excel and be able to learn how to use the company database. Working from their Bury St Edmunds office.

Key Objectives of role:

To provide outstanding Customer Service.
To facilitate a prompt and efficient repairs and maintenance service to our Customers.
Understand, embrace and apply the company culture of continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Receive works orders from customers.
  1. Analyse works and liaise with Customers on diagnosis, accuracy of information and other works order aspects.
  2. Enter and configure data using the company system.
  3. Arrange appointments with Customers.
  4. Allocate and diaries work for Response operatives and sub-contractors.
  5. Finalise order processes following the completion of works.
  6. Check, monitor and action all items connected to the works order process to achieve the fastest possible efficiency and completion times.
  7. Confidence to respectfully challenge as appropriate to effectively carry out your role.
  8. Refer immediately upwards any item that cannot be completed satisfactorily within your responsibility.
  9. Work to the priorities, deadlines and performance targets set by management.
  10. Any other tasks that are reasonable and appropriate to the role and to the work of the Operations Centre.
  11. Take personal responsibility for own health, safety and welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace.
  12. Take personal responsibility for seeking value for money opportunities to get service right.
  13. Understand and use measures to enable continuous improvement.
  14. To take personal responsibility for demonstrating the aims of the Group's Equality and Diversity objectives.
  15. Adhere to I.T Security and Data Protection Legislation.

Skills and experience preferable for the role:

  • Dealing with customers/ the public by phone.
  • Competent with computers and a standard range of software.
  • Specific customer service role.
  • Some knowledge or experience in a property maintenance and/or technical environment.

This is a full time role 40 hours per week Mon - Friday , 8.30 - 17.00hrs,
