PRODUCTION OPERATOR - WITHAM - TEMP TO PERM

We are currently recruiting Production Operators for our client based in Witham to start ASAP.

Temporary to permanent roles.

Hours - Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 15:30, Friday 07:00 - 14:00

As part of the largest recycling company in the UK, our client is one of the largest steel reinforcement suppliers and is strategically placed in sites around the UK in Scotland, Ireland, Midlands, Wales and East London. The Witham facility is responsible for producing products for many iconic projects. They have exciting plans to grow the business and are offering secure and long term permanent employment opportunities.

We are seeking individuals that have :

  • A good awareness of Health and Safety
  • Ability to follow strict processes and procedures
  • Eager to learn
  • Previous production / crane experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

Your will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Operate all relevant bending machinery, tools, and equipment and undertake production tasks safely and accordance with instructions
  • Physical/ manual work to include the movement and lifting of steel bars
  • Complete production activities in order of priority
  • Set up or adjust equipment according to manufacturing specifications
  • Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analysed
  • Using measuring tapes
  • Operate Overhead crane (Training provided)

This role involves heavy lifting and manual work within a heavy industry steel environment.
