The Opportunity

A growing and ambitious engineering business, with a strong track record and an outstanding reputation in the process industries, is seeking a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager to help drive the business to the next level. The company operates heavily in the biogas and renewable energy sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dedicated individual to become integral to a dynamic and forward-thinking business and play a key role in its continued success.

What the Candidate Will Be Doing

This is a hands-on, front-line sales role where the individual will be responsible for driving growth across the company’s core product range, working with both new and existing customers throughout the UK. Face-to-face meetings will be a significant part of the role, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable and confident with travel.

The candidate will receive full support from the internal sales and marketing team but will be expected to own relationships, identify opportunities, and close deals.

Market & Products

The company operates primarily within the biogas sector, which is part of the broader renewable energy space, focusing on gas generated from organic waste. The products and services include:

  • Process instrumentation

  • Gas analysis systems

  • Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) desulphurisation systems

  • Gas flow, oxygen/nitrogen generation equipment

  • Installation, commissioning, and ongoing service/maintenance

Who the Client is Looking For

The company is seeking someone who is proactive, driven, and motivated by ownership and ambition. The ideal candidate will have a strong B2B technical sales background, ideally within instrumentation or process industries, and be confident in developing new business and managing long-term relationships.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in B2B technical sales (ideally instrumentation or a similar field)

  • Understanding of basic engineering principles

  • Background in process industries (such as biogas, renewables, industrial gases)

  • Proven experience in generating and converting new business opportunities

  • Strong face-to-face communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Industry experience in process industries, particularly renewable energy or biogas, is highly advantageous.
