As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in shaping the classroom experience for students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Responsibilities

  • Classroom Preparation: Deliver lessons with resources and materials provided.
  • Student Supervision: Monitor student behaviour during lessons and during breaks, maintaining a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Support Learning: Assist students with understanding tasks, provide guidance, and help keep them on track.
  • Promote Positive Behaviour: Uphold School rules, manage behaviour, and promote a respectful, positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Provide Feedback: Collect and organise student work, giving useful feedback where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience: Prior experience working with secondary School students.
  • Strong Classroom Management: Ability to engage students in completing tasks that are set, whilst upholding and maintaining good behaviour.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with students and staff.
  • Eligibility to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • DBS Check: Valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • References: Two professional references from your most recent roles.
