SEND Specialist Teacher - Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Essex

Salary: £46,586 - £51,763

We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled SEND Specialist Teachers to join an expanding team, supporting schools across a diverse local authority.

As a Specialist Teacher, you will:

  • Work across multiple schools, providing targeted support for young children in groups, assisting families, and upskilling schools in SEND & inclusion.

  • Help enhance inclusion and improve opportunities for children with SEND.

  • Guide schools in shifting their perspective on challenging behaviours, ensuring better understanding of neurodiversity.

  • Have flexibility in your schedule, visiting schools and families as needed while managing your caseload independently.

  • Contribute hands-on experience - leading by example when required - to model best practices for school staff.

We are looking for experienced professionals who have:

  • A background as a SENDCo, provision lead, or specialist teacher in SEMH or autism settings.

  • A proven ability to lead and provide practical, hands-on support, rather than purely observational guidance.

  • QTS qualification.

  • Strong experience in transition support, particularly for children out of school.

If you're seeking a fresh challenge outside traditional school settings - perhaps transitioning from a SENDCo or senior leadership position - this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team.
