Salary: £35,000 per annum

We are seeking a hands-on and well-organised Manufacturing Technician with strong mechanical assembly experience to join a dynamic and collaborative production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take technical ownership of products and processes, contributing to both new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Technician:

  • Lead technical activities across production and warehouse operations.
  • Develop and implement assembly and test procedures for new products.
  • Improve existing production processes, including designing jigs and fixtures.
  • Mentor and train assembly operators to uphold quality standards.
  • Set up and run production lines, driving efficiency and consistency.
  • Support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required for the Manufacturing Technician:

  • Proven mechanical assembly skills.
  • Strong understanding of production engineering and collaboration with design teams.
  • Experience developing SOPs and setting up production cells.
  • Ability to read technical drawings to BS8888 standards.
  • Familiarity with lean practices and coaching others in assembly techniques.
  • Mill and lathe operation experience is desirable but not essential.
