We are an independent pub company based in Woking looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to join our growing team!
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the fresh food and beverage industry, particularly in a high turnover restaurant/bar.
Duties
- Assist the team in overseeing daily operations to ensure the smooth running of service.
- Motivate and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of service and performance.
- Ability to lead from the front.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, maintaining stock accuracy and hitting GP targets.
- Working with the rest of the management team to hit wage % targets.
- Train new employees on service standards.
- Work with the management team to develop strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency
- Previous experience required in a hospitality or restaurant management role for a minimum of 1 year.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by operational needs.
- Salary -Up to £36,500 per annum (incl. tronc) PLUS bonus.
