Building Control Surveyor

Building Control Surveyor – BSR Class 2F
Location: Wokingham
Rate: £70 per hour
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week (37 hours)
Duration: 3 months initially

Tripod is looking for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join a local authority team. This role requires minimum BSR Class 2F registration and involves a mix of site inspection and plan checking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess plans for a range of construction projects

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations

• Provide professional advice via phone, email and in person

• Inspect dangerous structures during working hours

• Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections and communications

• Support Trainee and Assistant Surveyors

• Assist the Principal Surveyor and Team Manager with wider team functions

Requirements:

• BSR Registration – Minimum Class 2F

• Full corporate membership with RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent

• Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and business use car insurance

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong commitment to ongoing professional development
