Superbowl, part of American Amusements Holdings Ltd, operates vibrant Family Entertainment Centres across the UK, offering Tenpin Bowling, Laser Quest, Amusements, and a strong F&B offering. Our centres are fast-paced, high-energy, and focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

We are now seeking an experienced and ambitiousCentre Managerto lead our Wokingham site. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about people and commercial performance, and is ready to take full ownership of a busy leisure venue.

The Role

As Centre Manager, you will be the driving force behind your sites operational excellence, commercial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development. You will lead from the front, balancing day-to-day operations with strategic planning, business development, and compliance oversight.

A key part of your role will be mentoring and developing your management team, ensuring strong succession planning, consistent standards, and a positive culture throughout the business.

You will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking full responsibility for the safe and efficient running of the centre, ensuring all due diligence, compliance and operational standards are exceeded.

This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, commercially savvy, and motivated by developing people and driving results.

What Youll Be Doing

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all aspects of daily centre operations, ensuring a smooth, safe, and high-quality guest experience.
  • Maintain exceptional standards in presentation, service, compliance, and safety.
  • Ensure robust maintenance processes to minimise downtime and hazards.
  • Motivate and mentor Assistant Managers and junior managers, acting as a positive role model.
  • Oversee rota planning and labour control to meet targets.
  • Ensure operational procedures (SOPs, logbook systems, checklists) are fully adhered to.

Compliance & Safety

  • Act as the centresResponsible PersonandDesignated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
  • Create a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring all legislative and internal requirements are met.
  • Ensure all due diligence, fire safety checks, risk assessments and compliance documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Confidently engage with enforcement officers and maintain excellent relationships with local authorities.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Drive profitability across all revenue streams: Food, Drink, Machines, Bowling, Laser Quest.
  • Maintain strong cash control, stock management and GP margin performance.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, including stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Control purchasing and manage supplier relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and implement effective action plans.

Sales, Marketing & Business Development

  • Work closely with the Sales Team, Directors, and external partners to grow top-line revenue.
  • Support marketing initiatives and ensure events and bookings are delivered flawlessly.
  • Build partnerships within the local community to raise the profile of the centre.
  • Contribute to in-house promotions, digital screens, and social media presence.

People, Training & Culture

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team at all levels.
  • Conduct regular managers meetings and quarterly team meetings.
  • Ensure all staff are fully trained, documented and compliant.
  • Drive a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, onboard, and performance-manage team members as required.

  • Strong experience in a management role within leisure, hospitality, retail, or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Inspirational leadership skills with a proven ability to develop teams.
  • Excellent understanding of operational standards, compliance, and guest experience.
  • Commercially astute, confident with P&L, labour planning and GP analysis.
  • Highly organised with great communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • A proactive and hands-on leader who thrives on ownership and responsibility.
  • Personal Licence, First Aid at Work, and DBS certification (or willingness to obtain).
