Overview

Mitchell Adam are currently supporting a prestigious, national client near Cannock in their search for an experienced Assistant Accountant to strengthen their finance team, supporting their Management Accountant. Our client is a highly respected supplier of a specialist product, operating from a large and modern site in the heart of the region's industrial sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious assistant level candidate looking to gain broader month end and forecasting experience within a stable, progressive organisation.

The successful applicant will work closely with senior leadership to drive improvements across finance processes and support key financial reviews. Key responsibilities will include preparing month end accounts, managing accruals prepayments and journals, maintaining the fixed asset register, and reconciling the P&L. You will also be involved in fast paced project work and ad hoc analysis on KPIs, revenue and profit.

Skills Required

  • Ideally a short notice period and based within commuting distance of Cannock.
  • Proven experience with accruals, prepayments, and maintaining fixed asset registers.
  • Keen to develop within a stable environment, with opportunities for future progression.
  • Strong Excel skills, including confidence with pivot tables and data analysis.
