Overview

My client, an organically growing FMCG business based north of Wolverhampton is growing their finance department, and looking for an Assistant Accountant to come in and work directly alongside the Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with limited month end exposure to grow exponentially under a trained eye, having a fundamental impact on day-to-day business operations.

The day to day in this role poises the successful candidate for fantastic growth. You will be directly assisting with the preparation of month end management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be using your data analysis skills to extrapolate key insights from daily reports, to provide commentary on for senior stakeholders.

Skills Needed

  • You will have previous exposure to accruals and prepayments and a fundamental understanding of double entry bookkeeping.
  • Be currently studying for your ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • Feel confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and presenting figures to senior team members.
  • Be comfortable on Excel, as you will be using it heavily for your analysis.
