My Wolverhampton based Distribution client are looking for a Head of Sales to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.   

This is a superb opportunity to become part of the senior leadership team and drive the business forward.

Duties will include:-

  • Develop and implement the company's overall sales strategy and plan.
  • Set and track sales goals and targets.
  • Forecast sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve targets. 
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales personnel. 
  • Provide regular feedback and performance reviews. 
  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure effective sales processes. 
  • Implement and maintain sales tools and technologies. 
  • Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to align sales efforts. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. 
  • Understand customer needs and preferences. 
  • Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction. 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences. 
  • Lead presentations and engage with key stakeholders. 
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities. 
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts. 
  • Use data to inform decision-making and improve sales performance. 

Key Skills:-

  • Must have worked in a Senior lead position within Sales
  • Proven capability of increasing sales growth
  • If you have worked within Distribution / Manufacturing this would be advantageous
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment with ability to drive the sales team and enhance business growth
  • Experience in Sales strategy and planning
  • Forward thinking and proactive in nature
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to lead from the front
