Role Overview
Due to steady growth, the business requires an Electrical Estimator to support both UK and international projects. The role involves producing accurate and timely estimates, working across all tender stages, and maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the organisation’s commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the estimating workflow to ensure smooth project progression.
- Produce tenders consistently in line with internal procedures and standards.
- Review completed projects to compare actual vs estimated installation times.
- Support the estimation team to meet revenue and delivery targets.
- Prepare structured, compliant tender submissions, considering technical, commercial, and construction risks.
- Carry out detailed material take-offs and enter measurements into estimating software.
- Review supplier and subcontractor information, distributing enquiries and assessing quotations for compliance.
- Identify opportunities for product alternatives and value engineering proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, competition, and workload levels to help produce competitive estimates.
Requirements
- Experience as an Electrical Estimator or demonstrable experience preparing electrical estimates.
- Understanding of electrical installation practices (advantageous but not essential).
- Degree-level qualification in Engineering or a related field.
- Awareness of health and safety responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
