BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a tenancy sustainment officer on a full-time basis, working from home with travel to services in and around Wolverhampton.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage information systems to ensure all contracts, agreements and data is accurate and up to date.
- Assisting with payments of rent and other charges when tenants sign up, assisting customers having difficulties with rent payments and other debts.
- Assist the Tenancy Sustainment Manager in preparing a case for Court in relation to tenancy breach.
- Be a point of contact for, and promote positive relationships within, local communities.
- Collect rents and service charges and respond appropriately to any arrears.
- Ensure that sign-ups are completed at the earliest opportunity and that all associated paperwork is completed and returned to the relevant teams.
- To ensure that all paperwork relating to Housing Benefit claims is completed either at sign up, or at the earliest opportunity afterwards.
- Ensure new clients understand the responsibilities of their tenancy/license before they sign it.
- Work with property services, lettings and partner agencies to ensure vacant properties are let promptly.
- Be the key contact for partner organisations, dealing with day-to-day enquiries, building positive working relationships.
Criteria:
- Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle is essential.
- Former Housing experience is essential including tenancy management, rent arrears, and managing tenant expectations.

CIH Level 3 in Housing Practice or Housing Services or a commitment to work towards this qualification.
This is a temp to perminent role
Salary; 33,000 per annum
Mileage is paid at 45p per mile
