We are looking for a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to support a child with additional learning needs within a mainstream primary school. This 1:1 Teaching Assistant role in Wolverhampton involves supporting a pupil with ASD who requires a consistent, patient, and structured approach to learning.
The school is based in central Wolverhampton, easily accessible by public transport, and offers a nurturing environment with experienced SEN leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the pupil with learning and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher
- Implementing strategies from EHCPs and outside agencies
- Promoting inclusion and engagement in classroom activities
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a 1:1 Teaching Assistant role
- Understanding of ASD and SEMH
- A kind, supportive, and resilient nature
- A current DBS or willingness to apply
