Job Title: Production Planner
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay Rates: 35,000 - 42,000
Shift Patterns: 37 hours per week
Oliver Rae is looking for a Production Planner based in Wolverhampton working for a growing manufacturing business. If you are someone who has an eye for detail and understands manufacturing, production, and planning then we would love to hear from you!
Job Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure seamless coordination of production activities.
- Optimise production schedules.
- Utilise advanced planning tools and software to create accurate production schedules taking into account capacity, resource constraints, material, and lead times.
- Booking transport required for consignments.
- Following up on phone bookings with confirmation emails.
- Checking delivery notes.
- Ensuring the warehouse has all delivery notes - checking to ensure all information is correct.
- Completing paperwork with the dispatch office.
- Input any new and revised customer orders into the company CRM system.
- Creating new job cards (production work orders) to be raised for production.
- Planning work in progress.
- Ensuring sufficient material is available to create the parts for customers.
- Liaising with purchasing to order stock.
- Chase parts from subcontractors.
- Progressing one-off orders through to production.
Requirements
- Must have production planning or supply chain management experience.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles is desirable.
