We're supporting a growing, award-winning client in their search for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based in Wolverhampton. This role offers the chance to work on high-value projects across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharma, and Industrial.

The Role:

Working within a skilled design team, you'll be responsible for producing compliant, efficient mechanical designs that support safe on-site installations. This is primarily an office-based role with regular project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical system design in line with fire strategies and regulations

  • Site surveys and attendance at design meetings

  • Thermal modelling and ventilation load calculations

  • Equipment sizing and selection (AHUs, chillers, pumps, etc.)

  • Drainage, ductwork, and pipework design

  • Preparation of layout drawings, schematics, and risk assessments

Requirements:
  • Mechanical Design experience in building services (essential)

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Proficiency in software such as Hevacomp, IES, CyMap, or Carrier HAP

  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU design standards

  • Confident communicator and collaborative team player
