Position: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: WolverhamptonStart Date: May 2025Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to FridayThis primary school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and support the individual needs of the children. The school is looking for a calm and gentle SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 child with ADHD and dyslexia. The child is currently working at an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) level and requires simplified work and engaging activities during interventions. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 2 child with ADHD and dyslexia.
- Simplify learning materials to match the child's EYFS level.
- Create and implement engaging activities to support the child's learning and development.
- Foster a calm and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the child's needs are met.
- Monitor and report on the child's progress.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children with ADHD and dyslexia.
- Needs a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Ability to simplify work and create engaging activities.
- Calm, gentle, and patient demeanour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or related field.
