Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Chigwell is seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs. This role involves providing personalised support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access learning, build confidence, and make steady progress within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual learning needs

Assist with classroom activities and differentiated tasks

Implement strategies recommended by the SENCo and class teacher

Support social, emotional, and communication development

Promote independence and positive learning behaviours

Build a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil

Work collaboratively with staff and parents

Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language, or similar)

A patient, nurturing, and positive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

The ability to adapt quickly and follow guidance

A genuine passion for helping children thrive

An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
